Volunteer or Intern With Us

Volunteers and interns play an essential role in supporting the work we do at The Fortune Society. By donating their valuable time and expertise, volunteers aid our staff in myriad ways, including tutoring, mentoring, resume preparation, mock interviewing, and special projects. We are particularly glad to welcome formerly incarcerated individuals interested in giving back to their communities through service with The Fortune Society.

“Listening to participants describe their time in prison, the struggles they faced back in the community, and how Fortune helped them succeed showed me that justice-involved people are truly more than their worst deeds. It is important for people to see this humanity in a frequently stigmatized population.”
