Volunteer or Intern With Us

NOTE: In compliance with regulations to limit the spread of COVID-19, we are unable to bring on new volunteers at this time. If you sign up to indicate your interest in volunteering, we will contact you when the volunteer program restarts. Thank you for your interest.

Volunteers and interns play an essential role in supporting our work at The Fortune Society. Your valuable time and expertise aids our staff in myriad ways. We welcome formerly incarcerated individuals interested in giving back through service with us. Volunteer opportunities change often. If you don’t find something that fits your interests, please revisit us at a later date.

Fortune is open Monday – Friday from 9- 5, with some Education classes in the evening. We ask for a commitment of at least 6 months. Volunteers are expected to participate in a training to learn about Fortune and the program they volunteer for.

“Interning at Fortune is wonderful. I’m gaining real-life work experience in a nurturing environment and making a huge difference in people’s lives. I would never have it any other way.”
- Hannah Kavanagh Communications and Journalism Intern
