    Position Summary:

    The Director of Individual Giving and Communications is responsible for achieving The Fortune Society’s non-government fundraising goals by building, diversifying and increasing funding from individual and major donors (including private foundations and corporations) with the goal of increasing flexible and sustainable private donations to the organization. The Director will build on existing donor relationships and create new donor pipeline strategies, establishing measurable goals and objectives as part of a successful team. S/he will manage the current portfolio of donors while leading senior staff and board members in bringing in and cultivating new donor prospects. This position leads the Agency’s overall communications strategy including traditional and social media, development of promotional materials and publications, and leadership in branding and strengthening the agency’s programmatic and advocacy reputation and footprint in the field.

    The Fortune Society is seeking exceptionally qualified candidates for the role of Census Organizer. Census Organizers will: educate community members about the significance of the census and the importance of census self-response; identify and dismantle barriers to census participation; ask and encourage New Yorkers to self-respond to the 2020 census; and connect them to the tools and resources they need to self-respond.
