    Position Summary:

    Responsible for managing Fortune Society’s recruitment lifecycle and providing general support in the delivery of all Agency human resources practices. S/he will primarily focus on serving as the Agency’s lead in position description development, job classifications, applicant sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks, background checks, compliance, negotiations and offers, and support new staff onboarding processes. The Recruitment Manager will also manage and maintain the Applicant Tracking System.

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for supporting I-CAN participants during the in-jail phase and ensure that they are immediately connected to services upon release during in-community phase.  The Case Manager will be working both at Rikers Island and out of Fortune’s office at our main office in Long Island City, Queens.

    Position Summary:

    The Fortune Society is seeking to fill the position of Employment Specialist under the supervision of the Manager of Transitional Fellowships, who will work with Employment Services team to properly place graduates of our corporate fellowship programs into permanent positions. The Corporate Fellowship, a bi-annual 16 week employment partnership between our corporate partner and their businesses, recruits the most qualified work-ready graduates from Fortune’s employment services program. During the corporate Fellowship, Fellows get hands-on work experience in a fast-paced corporate environment. This includes professional development, mentoring, and job coaching from corporate employees, and the opportunity to build a network of contacts and referrals that can serve them throughout their professional lives.

    The Employment Specialist will conduct outreach and build relationships with outside employers in order to help place participants into sustainable work opportunities. He/She will work with fellows of former, current, and future cohort to continue their job development skills and align them with opportunities that fit their long-term career goals. The Employment Specialist will be required to work across multiple office locations and platforms in order to maintain communication with the Manager of Transitional Fellowships and other Program Team members as needed in real time.

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Major Gifts and Communication, the Communications Associate will help communicate core messaging and implement data-driven strategies that increase Fortune’s visibility, brand recognition, resources and advance the organization’s mission. The Communications Associate will be responsible for managing Fortune’s digital media platforms (website, social media, and CRM); writing and editing communication materials; capturing and recording key mission moments and activities; and executing communications and fundraising campaigns.
