    Position Summary:

    The Fortune Society is seeking to hire a CIRT Court Advocate for Queens Court-based Intervention Resource Team (CIRT),which provides alternative to detention (ATD) and alternative to incarceration (ATI) services to youth and adults with behavioral health needs who have an open misdemeanor and/or non-violent felony cases in Queens County Criminal and Supreme Courts. The Court Advocate serves as a liaison in court to determine program eligibility for ATD and ATI Programs for both individuals currently incarcerated or at liberty. S/he will advocate on behalf of participants for program enrollment by the courts and then report the participants’ progress to the Court.
