The Fortune Society Hosts Community Food Distribution as SNAP Benefits Vanish

Millions of Americans are facing a devastating loss as the U.S. Department of Agriculture plans to suspend SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits for over 42 million people starting in November – an abrupt and total cutoff that threatens to unleash a wave of hunger and hardship across communities not seen in decades.
