Please join a Town Hall Webinar for an in-depth conversation on the intersecting challenges of health and housing facing women, trans women and LGBTQIA+ individuals as they return from incarceration, and how we can support their healing through reentry.

 


Meet our Panelists:

Rev. Sharon White-Harrigan is the Executive Director of the Women’s Community Justice Association and has helped lead the campaign to pass the Domestic Violence Survivor’s Justice Act. She is also Executive Director of the Beyond Rosies campaign which is committed to bringing women back into the community safely.

TS Candii is a directly-impacted trans woman who is an award-winning global trans activist, civil libertarian organizer, justice leader and founder of the non-profit organization Black Trans Nation.

Professor Angela Aidala of the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University has been an advocate for people in reentry with health concerns and is the Principal Investigator for FUSE, where her work focused on the importance of housing services in the facilitation of reentry and successful community return.

Writer and journalist Wendy Sawyer of the Prison Policy Initiative has written expertly and extensively about the myriad issues regarding women and reentry.

Council Member Kristin Richardson Jordan of Central Harlem, District 9 is a leading activist, author and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, believes in serving people in all areas including but not limited to housing, environment, health, food, education and criminal/policing justice.
