    Position Summary:

    The Fortune Society is seeking a Communications Fellow to help share information about NYC’s Test and Trace Program and COVID-19 safety protocol to communities with high rates of justice involvement, along with support with other communications. This position is part of a grant from NYC Health + Hospitals to educate populations hardest hit by COVID-19 about the importance of testing, vaccines, and responding to NYC’s Test & Trace Corps. This position reports to the Communications Associate and will end on December 31, 2021.

    The Communications Fellow will assist the Communications Associate in designing posters and print materials, creating social media graphics, drafting social media posts and email blasts, and developing strategies for sharing information about the Test and Trace Program.

    Position Summary:

    The Development Associate will report directly to the Sr. Director of Individual Giving & Communications. They will have primary responsibility for maintaining the agency’s fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge) and Development department records in Microsoft SharePoint. They will work with the Sr. Director on individual fundraising efforts including donor mailings, acknowledgment letters, donor and board meeting preparation and minute taking as well as supporting fundraising events like the marathon and annual gala. They will also work in close collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Development & Communications and Grant Writers to support the Development department’s administrative needs including scheduling meetings, minute-taking, creating donor profiles, and collecting and organizing grant application attachments.
