    The Fortune Society helps formerly incarcerated people re-enter life through education, employment services, housing and its food and nutrition program, Fortune Fresh. The Fortune Fresh program serves more than 60,000 meals per year to Fortune program participants. With food preparation comes the need to recover food waste. Fortune is looking for an Organics Recovery Specialist to design and launch an agency wide composting program including educational initiatives.

    The Development Associate will report directly to the Director of Individual Giving.  S/he will have primary responsibility for maintaining the agency’s fundraising database (Raiser’s Edge).  S/he will also work in close collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Development and Communications and Grant Writers to support grant applications. S/he must be a critical thinker with a strong passion and interest in fundraising for a nationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to supporting successful re-entry from prison and promoting alternatives to incarceration.     Position Summary:

    Responsible for managing Fortune Society’s recruitment lifecycle and providing general support in the delivery of all Agency human resources practices. S/he will primarily focus on serving as the Agency’s lead in position description development, job classifications, applicant sourcing, screening, interviews, reference checks, background checks, compliance, negotiations and offers, and support new staff onboarding processes. The Human Resources Recruiter will also manage and maintain the Applicant Tracking System.
