On Tuesdays from 9am – 4pm until November, you can head over to the Fortune Fresh Farm Stand at 145th street and Edgecombe Avenue to purchase our locally grown herbs, herbal beverages, and breads at the Grassroots Farmers Market in West Harlem.

March and Rally to #CLOSErikers

We are marching from Queens Plaza to the Rikers Island Bridge to show Mayor de Blasio that the city is united in supporting the closing of Rikers Island. At 5 p.m., there will also be a rally and vigil at 19th avenue and Hazen street.

Black Male Re-Imagined III

Taking place at the world-renowned Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., “Black Male Re-Imagined III” will be a full day of interactive discussions with leading voices from the media and entertainment industries. These conversations will be combined with live music, performances, art and films that consider how we re-imagine a society where the humanity of Black men and boys is valued and celebrated.

Emerging Leaders Training

JustLeadershipUSA is hosting this event to meet the goal of cutting the U.S. correctional population in half by 2030. Based on their guiding principle that those closest to the problem are closest to the solution, JLUSA employs a dynamic, inclusive and culturally competent leadership training that includes management, employment, and communication skills. All Emerging Leaders participants must have prior involvement with the criminal justice system

The New York City Marathon

Watch our team of runners, The Fortune Flyers, at this year’s TCS New York City Marathon as they further our mission to support formerly incarcerated people’s successful reentry from prison and promote alternatives to incarceration.
