A Woman’s Celebration

This event is Love Thyself First’s 2nd annual woman’s wellness celebration focused on self-love and mental health advocacy. It will include an award ceremony for women who have overcome the struggles of imprisonment, domestic violence, depression and other mental health issues. There will be inspiring speakers, a screening, poetry, theater and visual art presentations.

Chef Michel Nischan: Unlocking Healthy Food Affordability

The NYC Food Policy Center at Hunter College is hosting this event as part of its Food Policy for Breakfast Seminar Series. Michel Nischan, the Founder of Wholesome Wave, which aims to provide under served consumers healthier food choices, will speak about how cheaper healthy eating options helps local food commerce thrive. The two other panelists will be a farmer and the Director of Food Policy from the Mayor’s Office.
