Fortune Honors Michael K. Williams at our 2015 Spring Soiree

Thursday, May 14, 2015

On Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, we had our fifth annual Spring Soiree at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan, New York. Our honoree this year was Michael K. Williams, award-winning actor, most famously known for his role of Omar in The Wire, and ACLU Ambassador to end mass incarceration. Although was not able to attend due to his filming schedule, he did share with us a special video that was played at the event.

Thanks to Actor Chad L. Coleman, also of The Wire, who accepted the award on his behalf and spent lots of time chatting with Fortune staff and learning more about the organization.

Thanks also goes out to our Board’s Junior Committee and Co-Chairs Luke Weil, John Forte, Louise Tabbiner, Katherine Keating, Dee Dee Sides, and Ben Bronfman for coordinating and hosting the event.

Finally, thanks to our staff and volunteers who played a vital role in making the night a success.
