Thank You for a Successful Gala Event – a Note from Glenn Martin, VP of Development

Thank You for a Successful Gala Event – a Note from Glenn Martin, VP of Development

“Hello All-Staff/Board/and Volunteers,

Yesterday evening, The Fortune Society held a successful Annual Benefit and Awards Gala at the Laura Pels Theatre in Midtown, where we awarded Mayor Cory A. Booker and Producer Erik Krebs for their respective work in assisting formerly incarcerated people to regain their lives.   By all accounts, the event was a success and built upon last year’s Benefit.  I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our committed and hard working staff, Board Members, Event Committee and volunteers who lent their time, expertise, relationships and resources to the event. Without everyone’s dedicated assistance – particularly that of our esteemed Board of Directors – this event would not have been possible, and we are truly grateful for everything you each contributed to making this a wonderful evening and a successful event!” Read Glenn’s full thank-you note after the jump!

Reviews of "The Castle", Fortune's Compelling Original Drama

The Castle was conceived, co-written, and directed by Fortune Founder David Rothenberg, and is co-written and performed by Vilma Oritz Donovan, Kenneth Harrigan, Angel Ramos, and Casimiro Torres – all of whom are former clients of The Fortune Society. This breathtaking drama follows the formerly incarcerated cast, which has collectively served over 70 years in prison, as they relate their harrowing, real-life journeys through adversity, crime, and redemption.
