The Castle: A New Theatrical Event - Now Showing Off-Broadway!

Three men and one woman tell their life stories from childhood, crime, prison, homelessness and into... The Castle. The Castle is a dramatic story of change and hope. Conceived and directed by David Rothenberg. Written in collaboration with Vilma Ortiz Donovan, Kenneth Harrigan, Angel Ramos and Casimiro Torres. Tickets are $30-$45. Proceeds benefit the Fortune Academy, our nationally-recognized residence in Harlem for homeless individuals with criminal records.

The Fortune Society named New York Nonprofit Press's December Agency of the Month!
It began almost by chance forty years ago. It evolved in response to the overwhelming needs of formerly incarcerated men and women who came to it seeking help. Today, the Fortune Society offers a full range of services for more than 4,000 ex-offenders every year, including counseling, education, employment services, substance abuse treatment, health services and housing.
