Fortune’s Marlon Peterson’s Op-Ed Appears in The Crime Report

Marlon Peterson, Director of Community Relations at Fortune published an opinion piece in The Crime Report, an online source for information about criminal justice. The well received piece discusses the gun violence crisis laying siege to young black people in America’s inner cities, and the failed strategies—chiefly the “arrest as deterrence” model—used to combat the scourge. Marlon proposes new approach which begins with a new understanding about the nature of gun violence itself.
