“The Chief Executive And The Board Chair:
Building A Strong And Successful Partnership”

Part Two of a Two-Part Series

Join us for the second of two sessions to learn more about the powerful and dynamic relationship between the Chief Executive and the Board Chair.

At our February Roundtable, we heard from four experienced consultants who have worked with the leadership of many nonprofits, both large and small, and from every sector.  They described various situations they have encountered, lessons learned about what makes for a successful CEO/Board Chair partnership and how nonprofit organizations can build the right leadership team.

At this follow-up session, we will hear from pairs of Executive Directors and Board Chairs from three organizations with different types of partnerships: (1) The Executive Director and Chair of The Fortune Society have worked as a team for several years; (2) The Executive Director and Chair of Goddard Riverside Community Center have worked together for a while, but the Chair is beginning her term in 2011; and (3) The Chair and Interim Executive Director of Civitella Ranieri Foundation, represent a different type of partnership limited in time and focused on transition.

Judith E. Katz, President of On Target Strategies, will facilitate this session which will focus on various ways that these pairs define their roles.
