Damien Cabezas
Vice President of Program Services

Damien is responsible for the oversight of Fortune’s Substance Abuse Treatment Services, ATI Programs, Family Services, Group Services, Drop-In Center and Health Services, the latter of which include HIV prevention and risk reduction. Damien has ample experience in substance abuse treatment and in various health care sectors. He has worked in several major teaching hospitals and community based organizations within underserved communities. Damien is particularly interested in the areas of quality of care, access to care and developing models for continuity of care. Damien holds a Masters of Social Work degree from Fordham University and a Masters of Public Health degree from New York Medical College. He has served as Chair of the Bronx Chemical Dependency Council and on the Advisory Committee of Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Bronx Center to Reduce and Eliminate Ethnic and Racial Health Disparities. He is a member of the Manhattan Chemical Dependency Council and the HIV/AIDS and Cancer Community Research Collaboration.
