John Kofi Sanful is the Executive Director of Ice Hockey in Harlem a community based non-profit organization teaching children to play ice hockey as well as expanding their educational opportunities. Ice Hockey in Harlem is a member of the National Hockey League (NHL) Hockey is for Everyone network. Previously, John was Executive Director of Career Gear, a non-profit organization serving job-seeking men. During his tenure, Career Gear grew in size and scope in addition to expanding into six cities across the United States. John also directed programs at the Coalition for the Homeless, Morningside Area Alliance and Common Ground Community. In the hockey world, John is a part-time senior correspondent for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and has contributed numerous articles to various hockey periodicals. He was a contributor to the first edition of Total Hockey and The World of Hockey.
