Client Services

Since 1967, the Fortune Society has helped formerly incarcerated men and women successfully re-enter the community. Our holistic array of services, ranging from housing to counseling and drug treatment, provide a “one-stop shop” for the nearly 4,000 individuals who walk through our doors each year. We design our programs based on the needs and experience of our clients and encourage a peer-based model of service provision – strategies that we believe contribute greatly to our success.

Our programs have also gained national recognition for their quality and innovation: the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) have cited our housing and substance abuse treatment services as model programs, and the National Institute for Justice (NIJ) is currently evaluating our programs with an eye toward replication.
